Nice cars, nice old Texaco - but tell me about that new header photo! That's just magnificent. Are you on the flyway for the white pelicans? I guess that's what those are. Of course, I've never had quite this view of them!
Linda, I saw the pelicans flying over and tried shooting them with a 70-200 lens at 200mm. It didn't work as well as I thought but next time they fly over I'm going after them with a bigger lens. They come through by the thousands here.
Hi Tom My son started his Kansas life at age 19 when he moved from upstate NY to Wetmore Kansas. It is such a neat little place. It is what made me fall in love with the whole state of Kansas...this little town of Wetmore. Pop. I think about 360 folks. Thanks for posting. He has since moved to Lawrence to be closer to his job.
Mike -- We drove through Wetmore and loved the town. It's situated in rolling hills and seems about the ideal location for a town. The museum is icing on the cake.
