Insulators! My dad and mom had quite a collection of those at one time - glass, ceramic, all colors. Beautiful.
My favorite is the truck in front of the house. It's just so beautifully composed. And that church's architecture is interesting. I wouldn't have guessed it for Lutheran - probably because of the spire/bell tower. It looks vaguely Greek Orthodox or something. Very attractive, though.
Thanks, Linda. I remember when insulators were the big thing on the antiques market, went for quite a bit of money. This old house must have had a hundred of them, but the floor was mostly gone and getting to them would have been almost impossible. Not that they're worth much anymore.
I want to get into that Lutheran church and see what it looks like inside.
I certainly would love to see a series of church interiors. Often, especially the older ones, have woodwork and stained glass. Not always easy to discern from the outside. And there's an abandoned cathedral/sanctuary feel to many of the abandoned structures you capture, as well.
Matt -- I've been trying to learn pano techniques for architecture, and no better way of learning would be to shoot the interiors of churches. Stay tuned...

That was a nice storm rolling in, dropped quite a bit of rain. Couldn't decide which one I liked better, the clouds or the truck.

You've always said you like un-boring skies in your photos. #9 in this series is awesome, with a seriously dramatic sky. All are very nice. #9 is WOW!
All i can say is that the last few days have seen some dramatic skies--almost too dramatic, actually.
