I didn't even know such a place existed, but your photos were enough to make me want to go! Beautiful photos of the little - what do you call them? - not dioramas, but miniatures. Or perhaps it's a big model train table. Really neat!
Not sure what you call them, either--miniatures works for me. Little set pieces that when peered at closely look almost real. They were my favorite part of the place.
Haven't gone to the Discovery Center yet, Tom, but it has been on my wish list of places to visit...especially now that I see your photos of the place! Thanks for sharing.
Just visited here last week. Really enjoyed it. Thought all the displays were great, but the movie with the special effects was my favorite part. Also did you notice how tiny the chickens were in the miniture train display? Really enjoy your photos.
I noticed the diminutive size of the chickens. In fact, it would be fun to crawl into the case with a magnifying glass and pore over each minute detail. Whoever created the dioramas did a wonderful job. Very precise. It was my favorite part of the exhibit, except, of course, the movie.

Definitely worth spending some time in--and I loved the little dioramas.
