Hadn't thought about it that way, Linda, but you might be onto something. Another sign of small town life is that the hairdresser, Jean Gallagher, picked up two of her customers that morning and brought them to the shop. That's customer service!

My favorite detail: the cane peeking out from under the lady's cape in the hair salon.
An observation: maybe the great divide in this country is between those who get to sit down to work and those who don't.
