Between planning and preparing for a major photographic project that will take about a year to complete, learning artificial lighting, radio triggers, manual modes and a host of other esoteric knowledges that my brain is ill adapted for, writing has taken something of a backseat. Believe me, it's not for a lack of trying. So please bear with me as I work my way through this tangled mess...

Ah. I've been languishing here by the computer, waiting for a sign of life and hoping your absence wasn't due to illness, ennui or the world's longest New Year's hangover.
Given the photo in your header, might be that you should have titled this entry "Derailed". But that has a touch of permanency to it. That's no good.
Besides, those of us with a few years behind us know what to do when the "Please Stand By" sign comes on. We stand by.
Linda, I'm going so many directions at once that my concentration level has dropped to historic lows. So low, in fact, that I'm feeling the heat from the earth's molten core. But I suspect that it's just a passing phase and that sooner or later I'll be my old self.
A frightening thought, but what the hell.
Tom, remember that there is a vast storehouse of esoterica photographica here at the House of Rabbits. I'd be glad to help if I can.
Thanks, Bud. What I really need is a clone or two of myself.
I wondered what the dickens was going on. It's a bummer, but understandable. I can feel your pain when it comes to artificial lighting. When Connie and I went to Bodie and I was photographing inside a building, I didn't even think of using my built-in flash! That's how out of it I am when it comes to artificial lighting.
Wish I was there to help (and to learn).
Besides, I'm as close as you'll get to a clone!
