I hope you're sitting around somewhere feeling smug. These new photos are out of this world. They're just wonderful.

How you've managed to make something so cold feel so warm I'm not sure, but I could look at these forever.

And have we just had a color change in the template? I don't know for sure but I think so, and it complements these photos so well. Old or new, it looks new and it's very, very attractive.

Did I say the photos are splendiferous?

Thanks, Linda. Bird photography is tough business but I lucked out today. A combination of hungry birds, an approaching storm and a determination to take a photo even if it killed me. I really need to be able to get closer to critters, and I'll be working on that in the coming weeks. I had a great time hanging around the puddle and hope to do more tomorrow, though the puddle might be under a few inches of snow and ice. Ugh. I'm tickled that you liked the images so much. The birds are American Tree Sparrows with the exception of a Harris's Sparrow in the foggy mulberry.
