Jenni -- It's a combination of good camera/good lens and pure luck. I threw out over 500 shots that really sucked and pared the keepers down to about 50. If I did this long enough I'd figure out where to stand for the best angle, how to anticipate the action and figure out the best exposure-autofocus setting. But the season is now over so next year I get to relearn everything I forgot...

Dang. I wish I could get shots like that at my daughter's games. Guess I'll just keep practicing!
