Because I am now scarred for life and feel compelled, even driven, to do a Cheryl Unruh on the food we order, this time at Our Daily Bread in Barnes

Hot chicken salad and Swiss cheese in toasted breadcrumbs, if memory serves.

Yes, it was as good as it looked. Sliced turkey, bacon and provolone panini with house salad.

I almost took a bite out of the panini just to get your goat but Lori reined me in. (For the uninitiated, a food photo must be pristine and untouched in Cheryl's book. No bites allowed until the shutter is snapped.)

He forgot to share the wonderful experience of their special dressing on the house salad. I can close my eyes and still taste the wonderful flavor. Oh, Oh and he didn't take a picture of the pies. Shame, shame. He had chocolate cream and I had coconut cream. We hummed through every bite. Our Daily Bread is on the list of where you are going when you come up for your visit. http://www.barnesks.net/dailybread.html

Makes me want to get in the car and head further west to find a nice cafe.
