Thanks, Kim. My editor thought I needed some genuine rodeo experience under my belt, so I covered the event for the paper. I had the best seat in the house--in the arena--and had a blast. The Westernaires were unbelievable.
Linda-- Thanks. That's kind of what I thought this morning as I was sorting out images for the newspaper. All that's missing from the photo is a soundtrack of drumming hoofbeats.
Though I love them all, I just can't stop looking at this one. Love it. My favorite. I sure am glad I leaned on you to go to the rodeo! You never fail to impress me with your skill. I could give you the most mundane, colorless and yawn-inspiring event, and you could find the art in it.

I already sent links to your first Westernaires post all over the place - now I get to follow up with THIS!
The large file is just heart-stopping. It's beautiful! And so appropriate for flag day.

Dan -- Wow, you never fail to make me feel special. I have to thank you for the gentle push—you know me and new things...
In that case, let me tell you about this wonderful comedic actor named Will Ferrell...
"Actor" being perhaps too generous of a description in his case, and "wonderful" an abuse of the English language... Thanks, but no thanks.
