A friend who lives in OK has a photo taken after the ice storm that shows big icicles hanging down from a metal gate - at a 40 degree angle because of the wind.
I think this one beats hers, for sheer ice-weirdness.
It was odd to say the least. And fortunate indeed because I was feeling under the weather and didn't have much in me for exploring the hinterlands or anything else for that matter. One shot after making a fast trip to the bank and then on to rearranging furniture in my office. I'm thankful for surprises but especially the pleasant ones.
sb-- All I can say is that the curtain is near Frankfort. It's on private property and, as you probably know, there are few of these left outside of museums. This was taken years ago so I don't know what shape the curtain is in now or if indeed it's still there. I plan on trying to return to the place for more photos.

Tom,
Where did you take the photo of the old theatre curtain? I love the image. sb
