Essays taken from a weekly newspaper column published in the Washington County News, Washington, Kansas. Look for my book, "Dispatches From Kansas," available from Amazon.com, or from the author.
Your pictures are so much fun to look at! Hard to pick just one AND you are not done but here goes. I really like the John Deere entry today. We own a JD--bought in 1974 the year we were married. Still have it but we no longer farm. It is used for upkeep around our small acreage. We have talked of selling but still hang on to it--our connection to a former farming dream. It too is rusting as it sits out and endures our Kansas weather--still standing strong with a little help now and then! Dede NE Kansas
