Highway 36 revisited. Remote as it seems, the entire town has been mapped by Google Streetview. Nowhere to hide. Looks like there was once a traveling quonset salesman, too.
Western Kansas and eastern Colorado are dying faster than imaginable. Cope used to have a few businesses, now it's almost deserted. Last Chance has no chance. Idalia,Joes, I can't see what keeps them afloat. Pure grit and determination, plus some desperation thrown in, I suppose.
