During WWII my dad was in the US Army Air Force and my mom and I lived with her mother in the two story restaurant facing the square (Muriel Seimers Restaurant) and just out the back door of that building and across the street was the local doctor's office...Dr. Shumann's home/office. Amazing times, hard to believe I am 75 now, got time to think about those days. Carroll Ray Steiner Puyallup, WA
I'm so sorry I live too far away to see the exhibition.
I'm working to get the exhibit online, either at my website, with the Smithsonian or both. Once it's up I'll post news here.
Tom, the photos you shared with us down in Emporia were totally awesome. You mentioned a way we could view some of your shots on the Smithsonian site. Alas I didn't go right home and do it while it was fresh in my mind, and now can't seem to figure out the process. Could you please refresh me? Thanks Dennis Wiley
The url for the Smithsonian exhibit is www.storiesfrommainstreet.org. Click on the Browse Items button and search for Blue Rapids.
