These are great pics. The first and last remind me of Ansel Adams. No, no - not that Ansel Adams. Not Half-Dome Yosemite Ansel, but Los Angeles Ansel.

Lookie here. The second and third row, especially - but the whole set is great. Ansel Adams, street photographer. ;)

Something about the view in the convenience store reminded me of a (chaotic) Norman Rockwell.

Linda -- Your link took me to the first of the street-walking Ansel--I have to say they were enchanting. Thanks for sharing.

Kris -- The Casey's image was one I could never, ever, for any reason, rationale or delusion, convert to black and white. That kind of color is an assault on the senses. We're hit with these arrays every day and don't think about them until they become static. The effect is almost hallucinatory.

Now that I've got my associations out of the way, you're right about the color. They're so carnival-like you almost can hear the clerk saying, "Step right up!"
