Essays taken from a weekly newspaper column published in the Washington County News, Washington, Kansas. Look for my book, "Dispatches From Kansas," available from Amazon.com or from the author.
That second photo is visually gorgeous. It's one of those photos that just makes me feel good - doesn't make a lick of difference what it "is".
The first photo, though... Maybe it's because I'm watching the Academy awards, but it seems vaguely human. Humanoid. Whatever. I think it's name is Humbert.
Oh, Linda, Linda, Linda, you made my day! I figured I was the only one who saw beauty in the corner of the grocery store juxtaposed against clouds. That little patch of blue sky seemed to match the blue aluminum siding. As for Humbert, I just liked the shape, colors and texture. Hmmm.
Photographs displayed on my site are now for sale in selected sizes, either matted or print only for those who wish for more color options when matting/framing. For more information, contact me via e-mail through a link found in my profile. All photos printed on archival paper.
