Essays taken from a weekly newspaper column published in the Washington County News, Washington, Kansas. Look for my book, "Dispatches From Kansas," available from Amazon.com or from the author.
Oh, I'd love to refinish that rocker. The cane looks to be in great shape - hard to tell from the photo if its original caning or that new plastic stuff ;-)
You'd could have a situation on your hands if a fella said to his lady-love, "Honey, let's go to the Plaza tonight!"
The cane was in better shape than the floor. I almost went through it trying to get the shot. Scary. These images were taken in the small town of Haddam, where I had gone for an interview. With the wind the temperature was about five degrees.
Photographs displayed on my site are now for sale in selected sizes, either matted or print only for those who wish for more color options when matting/framing. For more information, contact me via e-mail through a link found in my profile. All photos printed on archival paper.
