Free print winners announced
Winners of the print giveaway are: Carol Yoho, Dede, Jenni, Bob Stryker and Mark Scheel. Provide a mailing address and I'll get the prints in the mail this week. Many thanks for the thousands of others who entered for the drawing (okay, the dozen or so). My wife drew the names from a Tilley hat, so I remain blameless in the selection process. Another drawing will be held for the Vernal Equinox Project!

And I'd say you did well! I think there are mysteries of shutter speed and such involved here. I suspect I'm going to need to learn about them if I'm going to take pictures of birds in flight.
Linda -- One of the reasons I bought my Nikon D700 was because of the high ISO capabilities. ISO, if you recall, is like film speed in days of yore. For most of the images, I shot between 1600-6400 ISO. The last group was done in bad light and shot at 8000 ISO. On the D700, that's not much of a problem. High ISO means greater shutter speed. On most other cameras, though, an ISO of 8000 would mean a ruined photo. I have a lot to learn, but it was fun and the results pleased my editor terribly. No raise, though. ;-)
