Beautiful. The larger version especially feels Victorian to me - all of those dead flowers under glass, I suppose. The bit of black and white that's lighted there is a nice(?) reminder of the coming winter.
What is it about Victorians and dead things? Wonderful analogy -- I might have to ruminate a while on the link. Anyway, the black and white is a butterfly, a checkered white, no doubt wondering when spring is coming. My wife also pointed out the flowers aren't mums, but zinnias! (I am better at identifying birds and butterflies than flowers, alas.)
